On this day........
40 years ago Neil Armstrong was the first man to step on the moon. The first word spoken on the moon? "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
This podium is where President Kennedy spoke at Rice Univeristy in Houston to announce that the United States would land a man on the moon before the end of the decade.
